Chiral chromatography plays a key role in modern chemical synthesis, particularly where enantiomeric purity is paramount. Many of synthetic intermediates posses one or more chiral centers, produced as racemates.
Even when the target molecule is not itself the final active ingredient, the stereochemical purity of an intermediate can strongly influence yield, impurity profile, reaction selectivity, and regulatory compliance.
In this article, we present application notes of five typical synthetic intermediates, witnessing how Blossmate chiral columns successfully separate them from their enantiomers.
