3D printing a vacuum tube adapter using black ABS. Tube end has expansion slots and is tapered so it fits easily and securely onto mating tube. Print took 2-1/2 hours. Time lapse video.

Air Manifolds with NPT ports, inspection done with NPT thread gages.

Air Manifolds milled from 6061 T6 Aluminum.
Ports were threaded using NPT thread mills resulting in threads being very smooth, not rough as compared to cut tapping.

Here is a deer skull flat pattern we are working on. Milled from 1" thick Aluminum 6061 T6. Working with different tool paths and features to achieve a deer skull look, not an insect or alien. Surface finish is from a 2.5" diameter face mill.

Using the OTS (Optical Tool Setter) to probe the tool length so its cutting tip is calibrated to the mill’s spindle Z position (depth/height). The cutting tool presses against the round puck on the Tool Setter, and its length is determined.
