Members of the Straub Corporation Geoscience Team Jill Johnson Baker, GIT & Raymond L Straub Jr., P.G. assisted the Middle Pecos Groundwater Conservation District yesterday with installing a new In-Situ water level transducer into a subterranean well within the Comanche Springs at Fort Stockton, Texas.
It was an hour and a half crawl though the narrow, muddy cavern to install the instrument. The passage followed along a joint in the native rock that had several lengthy sections barely large enough for a single person to crawl through.
Once you entered, there was no going back until the task was completed!

Straub Corporation was honored this past week by providing invited testimony before the Texas House Committee on Natural Resources on orphaned and abandoned wells.

Straub Corporation would like to thank the Honorable Committee Members for providing us the opportunity to present this timely information on the very serious problem of abandoned wells like the Sloan Blair No. 1 well in Lake Boehmer in Pecos County.
