Shoutout to the Heavy Equipment Operator class at Career Academy — you all crushed it on the job site this week!
Thank YOU for letting us be a part of your journey. Seeing students go from simulators to real equipment is exactly why we love what we do.
Wishing you the best at your Reeves Construction capstone project this Wednesday in Savannah!
A special thank you to our own Jody Deck for helping lead and support the students throughout the day. Your willingness to pour into the next generation truly reflects our commitment to serving others.
The Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) class spent the day on a job site with Preferred Site Construction (PSC)!
Each student had the opportunity to operate a real bulldozer as they prepare for their upcoming capstone project—worth 20% of their grade—this Wednesday in Savannah with Reeves Construction Company!
Up to this point, students have only trained on simulators, so this hands-on experience was a major milestone.
"We are incredibly grateful for partners like PSC who are willing to invest in our students and help provide real-world learning opportunities," says HEO and Construction Teacher Blake Jeffers. "Their support truly makes a difference!"
