You may be thinking "that mirror got hung kinda low..." - and you'd be right! But this home belongs to a person who spends a good deal of time in a wheelchair, so for him, it's exactly right! This is one of our favorite parts of building: thinking through the details of how home owners will live in these spaces, and customizing the spaces to facilitate an easier, more comfortable, and ultimately more enjoyable life in their new home.

We are so fortunate to be a part of this community, and we are thankful that we were able to have a hand in putting on this event. Thanks to CREATE Portage County for making events like this happen here. What individuals and organizations in your neighborhood have some space available to host the next block party? ....because this one was so fun, we want to go to more of them!

We love building Origin Homes for people who have unique visions. Not only did these homeowners add some fun exterior elements, like this bold roof line and absolutely electrifying door, but they also did some interesting things to make their new home more efficient, like using in-floor heat and adding a solar array. This one will wrap up soon, so it may be time to start planning your Origin Home for next spring!
