My dad was in business for 35 years building bridges and roads. He retired in 1980 and started doing small scale work in excavation and hauling. I worked with him growing up doing driveways, clearing la

nd, hauling debris and installing septic tanks. He passed away in 1998 and I have carried on with the business he started. Gulley Construction LLC is a licensed Septic System Installer and the only Advanced Level Two installer in Jackson County for large flow systems. We are the only licensed dealer for Norweco and Hoot Aerobic pretreatment systems as well as Homa pumps in North Alabama. In 2007 we expanded to include the paving business. It has been a good choice as it goes hand in hand with base work that we already do. We do residential as well as commercial paving. Our services include the trucking of dirt , sand, gravel,chert, and topsoil. We offer soil processing (screened topsoil),environmentally friendly land clearing/mulching along with a full line of excavation work including dozer, backhoe, trackhoe or excavator, road grader, skid steer, compaction equipment, asphalt paving., and small tractor work. We build and pave driveways for residential applications, layout dig and pour footings for houses, dig basements, clear lots, rough grade and final grade yards, and place backfill. We are the chosen contractor for Habitat for Humanity of Jackson County for their footing and grade work. Our commercial work involves a full line excavation company offering all aspects of site work, paving and utilities. Paving services feature curb and gutter installation as well. We specialize in parking lot paving and overlay. In my business my theory is even when you have big projects going never forget the small customers because they have needs and they are the reason that I am where I am today.
