Living more efficiently can seem intimidating. But it doesn’t have to be expensive, and it doesn’t have to be hard. The important thing is to just start!

Programmable thermostats are efficient, but you can get similar results by leveraging your current thermostat to its full potential. The U.S. Department of Energy recommends setting your thermostat to 78°F in the summer and raising the setpoint when you're away from home.

When spring storms strike, CHEC’s crews spring into action. While our lineworkers are preparing for outages, you can prepare your home. Keep fresh batteries and fully charged power banks on hand.

Report outages via SmartHub or by calling 800-328-2368.

UPDATE: 7:13 A.M.
The outage on the Humphrey Substation has been restored. We do have other outages resulting from the storms that we are working to restore. Crews are currently working on those outages and will continue addressing them as soon as they can safely restore service. Thank you for your patience.

We are aware of a power outage for members who receive service from the Humphrey Substation. Crews from our power transmission supplier are working to repair equipment on a transformer. We are cautiously optimistic that this repair might be completed by 8:30 am unless they discover unforeseen issues. Please note that this is only an estimate based on the information we have at this time.
We will share any new information with you as soon as we have an update. Thank you!
