formally launched Renovations by Starr Homes in 2015 and quickly became recognized as an award-winning renovations company in the Kansas City market. Our solid reputation for high-quality Renovations, Integrity and Customer Service has earned our client’s trust and repeat business.

The original powder bath reflected the rich Tuscan style that dominated homes in the early 2000s—ornate lighting, heavy finishes, and darker palettes.

Two decades later, design preferences have shifted toward lighter materials, cleaner lines, and more intentional details.

In this reimagined space, we introduced a sleek custom vanity, sculptural vessel sink, warm brass fixtures, and a striking geometric tile backdrop that adds texture while keeping the room feeling balanced and refined.

Powder baths may be small, but they’re one of the best places in a home to create a memorable design moment.

Progress update in Leawood!
This incredible outdoor living transformation is taking shape! The screened lanai addition is framed and roofed, the pool shell is poured, and we’re getting ready for fireplace installation and new slider on the lower level for seamless access to the entertainment space.

A big thank you to our friends at for the stunning renderings that helped our clients visualize how their dream backyard will soon become a reality.

As they focused on high-end designs and functionality, Starr Homes grew in momentum from mostly high-end renovation work to exclusively building fine custom homes and continues to lead the market as an award-winning home builder. Due to the popularity of our new homes, we stopped accepting renovation projects around 2010. The Starr brand is now focused on the high-end renovations market. Renovations by Starr Homes LLC opened its doors in 2015 and is recognized as an award-winning renovation company leading the way in the Kansas City market.
