Gas & Go strikes again! Customer: my downstairs isn’t cooling. We were told it has a leak.
Me: yes sir we can check it out.
Arrive and check charge. Me: sir, when was the last time this system had refrigerant added?
Customer: about a week ago.
Me: sir I don’t believe the system is low. We need to recover the refrigerant and weigh it and compare that to the data plate.
Customer: ok go ahead.
System holds 7.67lbs. We pulled out over 12lbs!!!!! Prime example to why it’s not always low! You get what you pay for!

I get a kick out of ready post from group sites about hvac. Folks you really shouldn’t get advice about your hvac system from strangers on group sites! They hear tech lingo and just blab it out on post, yet 99% of the time that’s just part of the actual test being performed.
