This blue object is a water holding tank. It is a CRITICAL part of a well pump system. Depending on their size they hold a certain amount of water to disperse any time a faucet, tub, hose spigot, etc is opened.

Their primary purpose is to prevent a well pump from running for extended periods of time, which could cause damage to its electric motor.

They fail in one of two ways.

1) Their internal air bladder that helps push water throughout the home becomes compromised

2) They begin to leak after years of rust formation and corrosive water

Your tank could have failed and you may not know it and that’s why it’s important to have it inspected yearly!

This small pinhole leak caused a significant amount of damage to this kitchen. Between the water damage and microbial growth, the kitchen unfortunately required a complete remediation.

Our team located the leak behind the wall, identified the microbial growth, and promptly notified our client.

The very next day, we had the kitchen completely remediated. We are now actively managing the project on our client’s behalf while they are out of state.

This system was found to be extremely low on refrigerant upon arrival. Our team pressure-tested the system and located the leak using a professional refrigerant leak detector. We replaced the faulty coil and followed all manufacturer-recommended service procedures to properly restore the system to operation.
