Quick install this morning before the wind and cold got here so the owner can get cattle moved onto these stalks for winter grazing. In a well with a large diameter such as this one, the new solar pump can be installed right down beside the old windmill cylinder so that the old windmill could still be used simultaneously with the new solar pump if you choose to do so.

Took advantage of the nice weather lately to get some new installs done. This one replaced an AC powered submersible pump so the owners won’t have those increasingly high electric meter payments anymore to water cattle, as well as will have water for the wildlife on this property free of charge.

These Nebraska winds are the reason I choose to build my own heavy duty mounting systems, unlike a lot of the cheap do-it-yourself kits you see that would become a very expensive kite in strong winds.

Just a few of the installs from this summer. Lots of old windmills replaced with solar units again…………nobody enjoys changing leathers or hauling water when the wind doesn’t blow!

Getting those last minute winter grazing installs done. This customer did away with the high maintenance submersible pump, powered by a generator that he had to constantly turn on/turn off or fill with fuel, and upgraded to a solar unit. Now he flips a switch once in the fall to turn it on and once in the spring to turn it off.......that’s it! The videos are taken about 30 minutes before sunset and it’s still putting out a full 1” stream of water ensuring maximum pumping time per day!

Out with the old.......in with the new! The old windmill blew down in one of the recent storms so it was time for the upgrade to a solar system!
