Material matters:
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol), a versatile material known for its excellent clarity and ease of formability.
Compared to ABS, PETG offers superior transparency while still maintaining solid impact resistance. Unlike acrylic, it’s less brittle and more forgiving during the forming process (especially useful in thin-gauge packaging applications) . And while polycarbonate is extremely tough, PETG forms at lower temperatures, processes more easily, and is a cost-effective choice for clear applications.
PETG isn’t just a “clear” option. It’s also available in black, white, and custom colors. It can be sourced in both heavy-gauge sheet and thin-gauge roll stock, making it adaptable for a wide range of applications and production volumes.
Its combination of clarity, durability, formability, and economic efficiency makes PETG a strong option when appearance and performance both matter.
