Is Faba Bean the Sustainable Game-Changer for the Mid-Atlantic USA?
The crop physiology research team at Virginia Tech Tidewater AREC in Suffolk, VA, with collaborators in neighboring states, are investigating the performance of around 500 faba bean accessions to select cold-stress tolerant, high protein content hybrids to use as a cover crop and for dry bean and vegetable production.
