Upon inspection, we found the evaporator coil heavily matted with dirt and debris, restricting airflow and causing the issue.

Integrity is a cornerstone of every service we provide. Recently, a customer contacted us after another company diagnosed his 18-year-old system as having a leaking evaporator coil, claiming it was unrepairable due to its aluminum construction.

After a thorough evaluation, we determined the actual issue was a failed TXV (thermal expansion valve)—a repairable component. We replaced the TXV with a new unit featuring a copper sensing bulb, restoring proper system operation.

We’ve also proactively scheduled a full system replacement for the fall to ensure long-term reliability.
