A remodel to an Oelwein downtown business is off to a great start this week! The brick wall of the building was structurally, failing in the middle, and on the verge of collapsing! We will be taking the wall down and redoing the whole facade of the building.

A few photos of a recently completed 62’x120’ pre-engineered metal building! This project featured a CMU restroom and mchanical room to keep workers safe from Iowa’s frequent weather events. The space above was also able to be used with the addition of the yellow guardrails. The foundation walls extend 2’ above grade and are insulated internally using specialized spacers.

Compensation will be $20-35/hr depending on level of experience and education.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Perform regular maintenance on company vehicles and equipment such as oil changes, tire replacements, and fluid checks
- Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times
- Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues
- Graduation from a 2-year trade school or equivalent is preferred but not required

Foundations are complete on a custom home located near Frederika. This home consists of 2,878 SF of living space and had the largest concrete wall pour Matt Construction has ever completed in a single pour at roughly 450 LF. Foundations under the porch were installed at 8' basement depth to cost-effectively add storage space to the basement since 4' foundations would be needed at that location to avoid frost heaving anyway.
