I Discovered My Largest Smoky Quartz Pocket Yet a couple weeks ago while out on a prospecting mission with .family.jewels and in New Hampshire. It started with a banger of a crystal and ended with removal of 90% of the pocket in 1 piece! It cleaned up really nice. Watch until the end for the full experience! Thanks for watching!

About a month ago, I found a Hydrothermal Quartz deposit that goes from 12 inches to 4 feet wide quickly! was with me for the day and we had tons of fun opening up the ledge together! Pockets are prevalent in numerous veins, most with a crazy hematite clay coating. This one’s taking a break from being cleaned, and it isn’t done yet. Here are some finds from the same day. Some of the plates and clusters look like cactus quartz, skeletal quartz, and even a few larger crystals have come out as well. Some may make their way to a gem show that’s coming up…more on that soon!😲! Have a great day!

About a week ago, I was on a prospecting mission with a friend in New Hampshire and we came across an area that neither of us had explored much yet. I came home with this tiny, gemmy Topaz crystal floater and a small cluster I will share once it’s all cleaned up! This is my first ever find of topaz and I’m so excited to go back to find more!

Last Weekend Sarah .princessgoat found this 67 Carat Gem Rough Aquamarine at an OCMGA club trip we attended to Mt. Mica in Paris, ME. I had just picked a spot to work and she was getting her chair set up. She held up a shiny rock and asked me “Is this glass?” I turned around and almost fell over when I saw it. I smiled and held it, feeling its heft and then smiled some more. “Nope, that’s the largest gem rough piece of aquamarine I’ve ever seen.”
Today is our 12th Anniversary and I’ve been thinking of all of the times I’ve taken her out to the spots I’ve prospected, and she always, always has the best finds of the day. Sometimes the best finds ever for us for that location. Here’s some of our adventures and finds (near the end) over the years. I appreciate her for so so many reasons…inspiring me to try to find the best minerals I can every time out is definitely one of them!

What A Busy Week!!! I Led 3 Mineral Expeditions, 1 for the OCMGA and 2 on back to back days for Suzie and her son Greyson! Everyone had tons of fun and brought home lots and lots of crystals!
