Big win for ICON Materials!🎉

We took home First Place at the WAPA Awards for Special or Innovative Use of Asphalt Construction. The team delivered a groundbreaking project featuring an innovative Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA), 100% RAP base, bio binders, and biodiesel-powered equipment—all meeting or exceeding WSDOT specs.

Kudos to our crew for leading the way in innovative paving!

We have recently been targeted by a variety of Facebook scams involving the sale of products through fake accounts, which is a significant issue on the platform. Scammers create profiles that impersonate legitimate sellers or businesses to deceive buyers. These fake accounts are often newly created with minimal activity or “friends,” which makes them difficult to distinguish from real accounts. Additionally, these scammers then attempt to purchase materials using stolen credit cards, which harms both the actual cardholders and the operating companies. If you come across one of these pages with deals that appear too good to be true, please consider calling the company before placing your order online. Thank you!

Please note: We will never use peer-to-peer money transfer services (e.g., Venmo, Zelle, Cash App) for any transactions.

Our team partnered with Carry the Load on 9-11 (Patriots Day) to clean headstones at Tahoma National Cemetery for our fallen heroes. Volunteering our time was a small token of our gratitude for those who dedicated their lives to serving our country.

Our employees are passionate about supporting veterans and are committed to making a positive impact through ongoing collaborations with organizations like Carry the Load!

We recently partnered with our local fire department to host a helicopter rescue training. The fire department team and pilots landed on-site to practice a rescue exercise. Our Northwest Safety Director was onsite and was asked to participate in the exercise by being the patient.

The training not only benefitted the fire department, but also showed our team that action can be taken quickly in the event of an emergency.

Our team attended the Buckley Log Show and parade this past weekend! Members of the ICON Materials team, joined by their families, enjoyed accompanying the float and tossing candy to the kids along the parade route.

Construction Manager, Mark Eichelberger, and Operations Manager, Chris Williams, lead a See-Stop-Do night for one of the construction crews during our Culture of Care Month. They brought pizza to the team and discussed the importance of psychological safety while handing out EAP stickers to everyone. The crew was very engaged and had good conversations regarding mental health.
