Weekly Life Tip:
Do one intentional act of kindness this week, without expecting anything in return.
A quick check-in, a handwritten note, or simply being present for someone can go further than you think.
Small, consistent actions shape culture, build trust, and reflect what really matters.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to be aware of the needs around me.
Give me a heart that serves with humility and a willingness to act when I see an opportunity to love others well.
Use my words, my time, and my actions to reflect You this week.
Amen.

Sometimes life feels like a rainy day—messy, slow, and a little heavy. But just like the earth needs rain to grow, our hearts need those hard and quiet moments too. Rain reminds us that God is still working, even when we can’t see it. It waters seeds of patience, faith, and trust. Without the rain, we wouldn’t see the beauty that comes after—the growth, the blooms, the promises fulfilled.

Life Lesson:
Not every season will feel bright, but every season has purpose. The rain in your life isn’t there to break you—it’s there to grow you. God uses those moments to prepare something beautiful ahead.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being present in every season—both the sunshine and the rain. Help me to trust You even when things feel heavy or unclear. Remind me that You are always working for my good, growing things in me that I can’t yet see. Give me peace in the waiting and joy in the small moments right in front of me. Let me see Your promises, even in the rain. Amen. 🤍

🌿 Life Tip of the Week
Be mindful of what you’re pouring into your heart and mind. The words you listen to and the thoughts you dwell on shape your peace. Choose what brings life, truth, and encouragement. 💚

🙏 Weekly Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for being our steady place. Help us to fill our hearts with what is good and true. Guard our minds from worry and negativity, and replace it with Your peace. Teach us to speak kindly to ourselves and others, and to rest in Your love this week. Amen.

When we talk about Lamar Cares, this is exactly what we mean, showing up, serving others, and being part of something bigger than ourselves.

Recently, some of the children of our Lamar team members had the opportunity to serve on a missions trip to South Texas through their local church in partnership with Bounce Student Ministries. They helped clean up and rebuild a church camp that had been devastated by extreme flooding, an area that had been covered in 20–35 feet of water.

Lamar Cares was honored to support their efforts by helping provide supplies for the trip, equipping these students to step in and make a real difference.

The impact they made in just 16 hours is incredible:
• 12 churches came together
• 160 people served
• 306 wheelbarrows of dirt moved
• 60 wheelbarrows of rock moved
• 147,000 square feet of sod laid (that’s about 2½ football fields)

But what stands out even more than the numbers is the heart behind it.

In the middle of the work, there was time spent in God’s Word and nightly worship, reminding everyone why they were there in the first place.

This is what it looks like to live out our faith, serving with willing hands, building with purpose, and pointing everything back to Him.

We’re proud of these students and grateful to play a small part in supporting their efforts. Moments like this are how lives are impacted, both for those being served and those doing the serving.

Life Tip:
You don’t have to do everything at once. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when everything seems urgent, but faithfulness is often found in simply taking the next right step. Focus on what’s in front of you today and trust that small, steady progress adds up over time.

Prayer:
Lord, remind us that progress matters more than perfection. When we feel overwhelmed, help us slow down and focus on what You’ve placed in front of us. Give us clarity and courage to move forward one step at a time. Amen.

Life Tip:
Gratitude shifts perspective. Even on difficult days, naming one good thing can change the tone of the whole day.

Prayer:
Father, open our eyes to the blessings we might overlook. Anchor our hearts in thankfulness, even in challenging seasons. Amen.

Lamar Cares is all about using what we’ve been given to serve others and share God’s love.

Recently, we had the opportunity to support a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where time was spent with a missionary family in La Romana.

During the trip, the group served in several meaningful ways, including visiting a Christian school, church, and feeding center in Santiago. They helped lead a church service in a poor Haitian village, where they taught a children’s lesson and shared a meal with families. They also spoke to about 200 students at a local public high school, where the gospel was presented, and spent time serving at the church where the missionary preaches.

Despite a language barrier, they were welcomed in like family. Their kindness and hospitality spoke louder than words ever could.

It was a powerful reminder that love doesn’t require perfect communication, just a willing heart.

Moments like this are why Lamar Cares exists. It’s about encouraging others, building meaningful connections, and reflecting God’s love through how we serve.

🌿 Life Tip:
Check in on someone today—just because.
A quick text, a kind word, or a small act of kindness can make a bigger difference than you realize. You never know who might need it.

💛 Caring doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord,
Help us to slow down and see the people around us the way You do.
Place someone on our hearts today who may need encouragement, love, or simply to feel seen.
Give us the courage to reach out, even in the smallest ways, and remind us that no act of kindness is ever wasted.
Use us as a light in someone’s day, and let Your love shine through every word and action.
Amen.

Life Tip:
When conversations get hard, lead with listening instead of fixing. Being present often matters more than having the right words.

Prayer:
God, teach us to listen with patience and compassion. Help us reflect Your love in how we show up for others. Amen.
