New Project 2602: Pershing Street Stormwater Retrofit Project 🎉
We are super excited to share that we will be a subcontractor to Selland Construction in Wenatchee. This project is set to kick in from Spring 2026- Summer 2026 This is located in Wenatchee and the pershing street basin is approximately about 55 acres of fully developed residential neighborhoods and runoff is predominantly surface flow. The main pollutant of concern is sediment, which may contain heavy metals and legacy pesticides. The project goals for this project are to Increase water quality that goes to the Columbia river, treat stormwater runoff from streets, improve flooding in the areas, and replace old 6 cast iron water main with new 8” ductile iron water main. This project will reduce flooding risk, improving the quality of the stormwater discharged to the Columbia River, protecting recreational areas used for swimming, and beneficial for the protection of salmon/ shoreline habitats. We are waiting on approval from the Department of Ecology to fully design the planning grant.
