Universal Blastco is hiring a General Manager for our General Construction Division to lead our next chapter of our growth. This is a rare opportunity to join an established, financially strong organization with the resources, leadership support, and autonomy to make a real impact. The projects are secured, now we need the right leader to build the operational foundation that supports long-term success.

You'll take the driver's seat in shaping our General Construction Division by building teams, developing processes, creating scalable operations, and establishing the systems that drive long-term success. At the same time, you'll provide operational oversight for our established and successful Commercial Flooring operations.

This person would ideally be based in South Carolina, or nearby in the southeast, with frequent travel throughout the US including Puerto Rico.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Project Administrator to join our Fiberglass Division in Delco, NC. If you're someone who thrives on staying organized, enjoys solving problems, and has the tenacity to see things through from start to finish, we'd love to meet you.

In this role, you'll help keep projects on track by supporting our Project Managers and the operations team, coordinating project documentation, assisting with payroll, billing, and job tracking, and ensuring every detail is handled with accuracy and urgency. This project will probably always be one of our most memorable. We built a fiberglass pipe inside a failed, corroded steel and concrete pipe that ran under an entire power generation facility. This inch-thick engineered structural lining was installed by Universal Blastco and allowed the original steel piping to continue to corrode without harming the new piping.

The craziest part… all materials and equipment had to be brought in through a single 24 inch manway. To put that into perspective, over 5,000 gallons of just the resin needed. 😮 The safety measures taken to complete this job were extreme to say the least!

This project was such a great example of how we help a customer solve a very difficult problem.

We’re thrilled to introduce Brad Peters as our Employee Spotlight for the month! Brad has been with the Universal Blastco team since 2010 and is proudly marking 25 years as a member of the Bricklayers Union. As a Superintendent for the Brick Block & Tile Group, Brad loves what he does and takes great pride in the effort involved in bringing projects to life from start to finish. He appreciates the supportive team around him, whose guidance has been instrumental in his growth and success in this role. Brad believes in leading by example and enjoys being hands on in the field with the guys helping get the work complete.

Outside of work, Brad enjoys staying fit by going to the gym and focusing on nutrition. He's a daily Chipotle enthusiast, whether at home or on the road. He also enjoys tackling upgrades around his house and cherishes time with his beautiful girlfriend, her son, and their two cats.
