Purchased in November of 1989 by Central Builders Supply Company, the Mack R Model has lived through more than just miles. It was born in the same year the Cold War ended and the Berlin Wall fell. For years, it pulled concrete block trailers throughout the late ’90s. Today, it still earns its keep, hauling aggregates to our concrete plants. Recently, it underwent a full body-on-frame restoration, bringing new life to its classic lines while fulfilling its original purpose. Freshly restored by our excellent maintenance team, this 1989 Mack isn’t just a truck—it's a reminder of where we started. Stay connected as we will be restoring a B-Model Mack next for our 100th anniversary in 2028.

Job Description:
· Full Time Employment (Seasonal layoffs possible).
· As a quarry plant employee you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery used in the extrication, crushing, screening and distribution of aggregate materials. You’ll work in a team to ensure production targets are met while adhering to strict health and safety regulations.
Essential responsibilities include:
· Operate heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators and loaders to extract materials from quarries.
· Monitor equipment operation and perform regular maintenance checks to ensure safe and efficient performance.
· Control and adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal production levels.
· Inspect materials for quality control and adjust production processes accordingly.
· Transport materials from the quarry to the processing plant or storage areas using trucks or conveyor belts.
· Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
· Collaborate with other quarry workers and managers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
· Record and report production data and equipment maintenance needs to supervisors.
Job Requirements:
· Ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery and equipment.
· Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
· Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
· Strong communication skills for coordinating with other team members.
· High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Having an Aggregate Technician Certification is not a requirement, but a bonus.
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screens

Our entire truck maintenance department graduated from the SUN Area Technical Institute Diesel Mechanics program. High quality work being performed to keep our fleet on the road using the training they received at SATI. Thanks for recognizing our support for SATI students.
