Production Workers and Assembly Workers
Summary
These positions performs various duties related to producing various archery targets and assembling crossbows, arrows and various other archery essentials while ensuring quality control standards and manufacturing procedures are maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain detailed knowledge of and follow all current/future standard operating procedures (SOP's), 5S program and safety procedures
• Utilize various materials and equipment associated with the production or assembly of products
• Achieve expected results by consistently meeting production quotas and quality control standards
• Maintain quality standards that achieve internal quality goals and meet all customer expectations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines when handling machinery, paint, foam, sharp cutting tools and other materials/equipment listed below
• Contribute to team effort by demonstrating a positive attitude and good work ethic, staying busy, looking ahead for work to be done and monitor work for correctness and quality
• Any other duties and/or responsibilities assigned by division manager
Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Application must pass a 4-panel drug screen prior to hire (expense paid by FeraDyne)
• Pass a standard background check
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial or related background
• High School Diploma or equivalent desired
Competencies and Skills:
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
• Mechanically inclined
• Basic Math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Reading comprehensive and writing skills
• Possess good communication, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle physical demands listed.
Essential functions:
• Wear safety glasses for 8+ hours per shift
• Stand for 8-12 hours while working
• Repetitive gross motor and/or fine motor activity
• Production Workers only will need to lift 25-50 lbs overhead, push and pull objects up to 75 lbs (can be repetitive at times).
• Assembly Workers only will need to be able to manipulate very small pieces in a repetitive nature.
• Other strenuous physical activity
• Must be able to work in warm/hot, dusty work environment. Fumes also may be present from paint and other materials used in other area of facility
Examples of equipment used:
• Forklift (once certified)
• Hot Molds
• Basic Hand Tools
• Staple Gun
• Pallet Jack
• Objects with sharp edges
• All necessary PPE (Personal Protective equipment) as designated by division Manager
Training:
• On the job training
• Basic Safety
• Hazmat
• General Orientation
• Advancement available as you learn the various roles within the department
Other considerations:
No prior experience necessary.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work all scheduled hours.
Hours for summer peak season are 6:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. (Overtime is required during peak hours of May - September.)
Hours for non-peak season, October through April, are 6:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.
