Here's a tip that takes five minutes but can save you hundreds this summer. ⚡

Take a walk outside and check your outdoor AC unit. After spring storms and yard work, it's common for debris to pile up around the condenser.

Here's what to look for:
• Clear at least 2 feet of space around the unit
• Remove leaves, grass clippings, and any yard debris
• Trim back shrubs or plants that may have grown too close
• Gently rinse the exterior fins with a garden hose

Good airflow = better efficiency = lower bills. Your system will thank you.

Is your AC actually ready to handle a North Carolina summer? Here are 5 warning signs most homeowners ignore until it's too late. 👀

1. Warm air from your vents. If your AC is blowing warm or lukewarm air, the compressor or refrigerant may be failing.

2. Weak airflow. Low airflow from vents means your blower motor, ducts, or compressor may need attention.

3. Unusual noises. Grinding, squealing, or banging sounds mean something mechanical is failing inside your unit.

4. Short cycling or constant running. If your AC turns on and off constantly or runs nonstop, the system is struggling to maintain temp.

5. Your system is 12+ years old. Most AC units last 12-15 years. If yours is aging, replacement beats costly repairs.
