🚨 Trigger Warning: This was found inside a home's ductwork.

Not every home has this issue, but older ductboard plenums can trap dirt and moisture over time, creating conditions you definitely don't want inside your HVAC system.

Common culprits include dirty coils, clogged filters, low refrigerant, airflow restrictions, or simply a system that's overdue for maintenance.

🚫 Your garbage disposal is not a trash can.

One of the biggest plumbing misconceptions we hear is that you should put a bunch of food or “cleaning tricks” down your disposal to help it last. In reality, the less you put through it, the longer it will typically last.

Best practice? Scrape most food into the trash first, always run water while using the disposal, and let the water continue running briefly afterward to help everything flush through properly.
