Swanton Welding & Machining was started in 1956 by George Kern. Mainly servicing the local farming community, George never realized what the future would hold. In 1985, Swanton Welding was purchased by George's Son-in-law, Norm Zeiter. Under his leadership, we have grown from a small welding shop to one of Ohio's largest metal fabricators, while servicing customers all over the globe. Our goal is to become the most diversified specialty steel fabricating company in the United States. We are truly dedicated to the production of high quality custom metal fabrication with on-time delivery that meets or exceeds our customer's satisfaction.

Finishing shouldn’t be the part of your fabrication project that throws off the schedule.

Swanton Welding has added in-house powder coating capabilities at our Griffin, Georgia facility, giving us greater control over the process from surface preparation through final cure.

By keeping powder coating under one roof, we can:
• Reduce delays associated with outside vendors and transportation
• Improve scheduling visibility
• Maintain greater consistency throughout the finishing process
• Move projects more efficiently from fabrication to finish

Our system can handle fabricated components up to 15' long, 11' wide, and 11' tall. For larger components, we continue to work with trusted subcontract powder coaters.
