Customer called with an A/C issue and we quickly found an older system that had definitely been put through its paces. Mechanical failures, dangerous electrical, and a sinking condenser all needed attention.

While inspecting, we also found improper venting in contact with combustible materials. With plans to eventually turn the home into a rental, we corrected the venting, proper clearances, and cleaned up the system while getting the A/C back in action with new equipment!

A/C revived, safety issues corrected, and the home one step closer to being rental ready.

We completed this one a little while back and never got around to sharing it.

Unfortunately, both of our family members we completed this work for are no longer with us. It makes looking back at this one a little bittersweet, but we're proud of the work we did for them and proud of the work we'll continue to do for every family that trusts us with their home.

Not every job means ripping everything out and starting over.

We handle a lot of rental certifications every year, and sometimes it’s simply about correcting what’s wrong and making things safe.

This one needed a proper filter setup, venting repairs, electrical corrections, proper gas piping to the furnace as well as a tune up on the furnace to get it running tip top.

Nothing flashy. Just fixing what needed to be fixed and getting this home ready to safely house its next tenant.

A few days ago we wrapped up a little early, so we squeezed in some routine maintenance on my own A/C system.

Had Jeffrey, my apprentice and also my brother, doing most of the heavy lifting with the cleaning, while my 8-year-old made sure he got his hands dirty too. Apparently Lucky Ducts is becoming a family operation whether I planned on it or not. 🐥

He started school again yesterday, and I’ll admit, it hit me a little harder than I expected. He’s a crazy kid, so I can’t always bring him along on calls, but I love that he wants to be right there with Dad whenever he gets the chance. Now that both him and his sister are back in school, I already miss having them around.

Life gets busy. Work gets busy. It’s really easy to get distracted by everything we think needs our attention while the most important things are standing right in front of us.

Cherish the time you get with your kids. It goes way too damn fast.

A/C changeout for a customer whose old system finally called it quits and left them sweatin’!

While we were at it, we brought the grade underneath the condenser up to match the landscaping and positioned the new unit to give it plenty of airflow while keeping everything clean and tucked against the retaining wall.
