One of the rewarding aspects of landscape architecture is seeing how design impacts and supports growth, innovation, and success in our communities.

Appel Osborne has had the privilege of working with Byrne Dairy for decades, currently providing site design for the expansion of their Cortlandville plant to support production of their latest offering, ultra-filtered high protein milk. 🥛

The substantial expansion requires access roads, new vehicle and large truck parking lots, building accessibility, and design coordination for utilities and circulation needs.

We commend Byrne Dairy on their dedication to evolution, adaptation, and response to consumer demand, and it is our privilege to support these efforts. 🐄

Last week, AOLA Partner Cory Jenner had the opportunity to present to students participating in the Fulton CSD Early College High School program. In support of their summer program learning about information technology, Cory gave a detailed presentation on the useful and evolving role of drones in the design field as well as other industries.

Students learned about different types of drones, the benefits of their technology, pilot certification requirements, and the different applications of drones in design and construction. The presentation concluded with the students witnessing a demonstration of Cory flying his drone and explaining the controls.

It's and we want to shout out our awesome summer interns! 👏

For the past couple months, Aubrey, Logan, and Will have been getting hands-on experience with project design, team collaboration, and the day-to-day responsibilities of a project designer.

Aubrey is entering her fourth year at SUNY ESF earning her Bachelor's of Landscape Architecture degree.

Logan earned his Bachelor's of Landscape Architecture this past May and is about to embark on his studies to earn his Masters of Science in Landscape Architecture.

Will is in the midst of graduate school earning his Masters of Landscape Architecture degree.

We have enjoyed having them work with us this summer, and we wish them well on their continued studies!
