Champions On and Off the Court 🏆

One of the greatest parts of being involved in our community is having the opportunity to support young people as they chase their dreams.

This past month we had the opportunity and were proud to sponsor a youth basketball team led by Syracuse basketball legend and Henninger graduate Lazarus Sims. Our goal was simple: help give these kids an opportunity to compete, grow, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

What we never expected was for them to bring home a 1st Place Championship… and then bring the trophy to us.

This trophy isn’t ours. It belongs to the young athletes who put in the work, the coaches who invested their time, and the families who supported them every step of the way. But we’re incredibly honored that they chose to share this moment with us and allow this trophy to have a home at Hummingbird.

To Lazarus Sims, thank you for everything you do for these young men and women. The impact you’re making goes far beyond basketball.

And to the team: congratulations. You represented yourselves, your families, and your community with pride. Your hard work paid off, and we’re grateful to have played a small part in your journey.
