Oil where it shouldn't be usually means one thing, a worn out valve cover gasket. This one had dried out and cracked over time, letting oil seep down the side of the engine.

If it's not caught, that oil can drip onto hot engine parts and start burning off, which is where that burnt oil smell under the hood comes from. Left too long, you're also just losing oil you don't need to lose.

I replaced two blend door actuators. One was making a constant clicking noise, while the other one on the driver's side was stuck in the cold position, preventing warm air from blowing. 🦾 2010 Honda Accord — Alternator Replacement

Went out to this Accord where the owner had already replaced the battery twice, still wouldn't hold a charge. Popped the hood, checked the charging system, and there it was, the alternator wasn't putting out even close enough to keep the battery charged. Poor thing never had a chance.

Took out the old, corroded and worn-down alternator, and replaced it with a fresh tested one. ⚙️ Fired it back up and the battery's charging exactly like it should. One less thing to worry about. ✅

Coolant was leaking from a spot under the intake 💧, turned out to be the thermostat housing, it had cracked. Pulled it, put a new one in, topped off the coolant and checked for leaks before calling it done. ✅

Stuff like this is easy to miss until it's not, and then you're dealing with an overheated engine 🔥 instead of a $20 part.
