Our goal is to inspire a new generation of people to be part of Florida's Energy by pursuing an education in science, technology and mathematics, preparing them to begin a rewarding career in the energy field. Get Into Energy Florida as part of the Florida Energy Workforce Consortium (FEWC) is developing solutions to meet the current and future workforce needs of the state’s energy industry. FEWC'

s primary goals are to determine current and future energy workforce needs and to provide educators, students, and anyone looking for a career in the energy field with the tools to equip them for a career in energy. To ensure that solutions are developed in a sustainable and well-coordinated fashion, the FEWC is addressing several key objectives:

Career Awareness: Improving the image of the industry and introducing to Floridians the high-paying jobs and career paths within it. Education: Impacting education public policy to support implementation of energy industry-relevant education and training at the secondary and post-secondary levels with an eye toward opportunities to transfer knowledge from the existing workforce to entry-level workers.

World Energy Day reminds us that the way we use energy today shapes the communities we live in tomorrow.
Energy efficiency isn’t just about saving power — it reduces pollution, lowers costs, and strengthens community resilience.

A couple facts:
• LED lighting uses up to 80% less energy than traditional bulbs
• Renewable energy is now one of the fastest‑growing power sources worldwide

Small changes add up. When communities choose efficient technologies and support clean energy, everyone benefits.

This Sun Day, we’re celebrating the power that rises every morning.

Solar energy is now one of the fastest‑growing sources of clean power in the U.S. — from community solar programs to innovative battery storage that keeps the lights on even after sunset.

A brighter, cleaner future isn’t just possible. It’s happening.

☀️ Happy Sun Day, May 3rd!
