🏠 Another hail-damaged roof brought back to life!

This homeowner had hail and granule damage, and we were able to help walk them through the insurance process from start to finish and make sure they understood every step along the way.

❄️ One of my biggest questions lately: “How cold is too cold to put on a roof?”

With winter coming, a lot of people assume roofing season is over…it’s not! 🏠

When installing CertainTeed shingles during colder months, we pay attention to more than just the air temperature. Sun exposure, roof surface temperature, shingle temperature, moisture, and overall weather conditions all play a role in how the shingles handle and properly seal.

☀️ A sunny 40° day can warm the roof and shingles well above the actual air temperature.

🥶 A cloudy, damp 40° day can be a completely different situation.

That’s why we evaluate the conditions at the roof, not just the number on the weather app. If conditions aren’t right for a quality installation, we don’t install.

Winter doesn’t mean roofing season is over, it just means you have to know when the conditions are right and we do exactly that!🏠
