This has been a challenging project! You can’t really tell but the deck is a trapezoid and gradually gets bigger toward the end of the picture growing from 6feet deep to 8feet deep. This one pushed my engineering capabilities with old footings in the way of my footings and many more little problems. 😅

Turned out great though. Still waiting for handrail. I am seriously struggling to find cable railing that is salt water resistant and fairly affordable. I’m getting quotes for like $18k hook me up! Lol

I’m certain your will love one of their own!

A little about this that I think is . There was a large window in the house where I this, about where I was standing to take the picture, and I would eat near there. Throughout the project, the two boys I was building this for would periodically watch me work on it and occasionally would see me eating. I would just smile and wave. Anytime I am building anything, I bring all of my own food with me (strict nutrition). So like always, on one of the days building this, I took my first short break to have a snack. Part of my snack was a banana which I set on top of my cooler bag. The boys were there and saw me. Suddenly, the older boy (about 4) enlarged his eyes and got down and ran out of my sight. Soon after the younger boy (maybe 2) followed. I started eating my banana and was looking at the project thinking of the next steps and the boys came running back. They knocked on the window and both had a half peeled banana, munching away. The older boy was simultaneously looking at me with large eyes and a smile, nodding his head up and down, and pointing from my banana to his banana. That’s all 😂😅
