It was a pleasure attending the Economic Club of Tampa yesterday and hearing from Congressman Gus M. Bilirakis. Thank you for sharing your insights on the issues shaping our region and our country.
Congressman Bilirakis has represented Florida's 12th Congressional District since 2007 and serves as a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where he chairs the Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade Subcommittee. He has also been recognized by Vanderbilt University's Center for Effective Lawmaking as one of the most effective lawmakers in Congress, with 78 authored provisions signed into law.

This morning, I had the pleasure of attending the Economic Club of Tampa tour of the Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF).
It was inspiring to see firsthand how HEF supports teachers and students throughout Hillsborough County by providing school supplies, educational resources, and innovative programs that help every child succeed.
The tour also included the fascinating history of the beautiful Centro Español building, a Tampa landmark that has been thoughtfully preserved while serving our community in a meaningful way today.
Thank you to the Economic Club of Tampa and the Hillsborough Education Foundation for an informative and inspiring morning. It's always encouraging to see organizations investing in the future of our community through education.
