It is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. We are reminding everyone to our roadways safe by minimizing phone calls when driving. 📞 When you must make a call opt for a hands-free option.

When driving, ensure you have both hands on the wheel to avoid getting into trouble. If you must make a call, utilize the hands-free option in most vehicles or wait until you reach your destination. In case of an emergency, pull over safely before using your cell phone. This simple action could potentially save lives.

As comes to an end, remember to do the right thing and move over a lane or slow down for all who are stopped on the side of Florida’s roadways.

Starting this year, motorists must move over a lane when approaching disabled vehicles with their hazard lights displayed to further protect the safety of the driver, traffic incident personnel, and other motorists on the road.
