The Naugle family (now in its third generation at Steward-Mellon’s helm) first gained an equity stake in the firm in 1945. Our CEO and Owner was honored to be featured on All Access with Andy Garcia, alongside Chad Rakow, Executive Director of the NTMA, and architect Fadi Garcia of Open Workshop for Architecture.

The conversation highlighted what we know to be true - terrazzo flooring is one of the most durable, long-lasting, and visually striking solutions available today. It’s not just a finish, it’s an investment in longevity and design.

A key focus was the importance of educating architects and specifiers on the value of terrazzo, and the critical role the NTMA plays in that mission. Through continuing education, technical expertise, and strong industry standards, the NTMA is helping grow a network of highly qualified professionals and ensuring the future of terrazzo remains strong.

We were honored to host the Hands-On Training Day with the Terrazzo Promotion Committee of the Southeast (TPC) this week!

At Steward Mellon, we believe in preserving the craftsmanship and integrity of terrazzo while investing in the next generation of skilled artisans. Bringing installers, contractors, and industry partners together for hands-on learning is one of the most meaningful ways to keep our trade strong.

A huge thank-you to the TPC for collaborating with us, and to everyone who showed up ready to learn, practice, and connect. We’re proud to play a part in supporting the growth of terrazzo in our region.
