June Parker Marina

June Parker Marina The first port of Tappahannock, VA. Hobbs His Hole Harbor, established circa 1660. June Parker Marina opened in 1987. Come enjoy the Rappahannock River.

It is built where the original port of Tappahannock existed, known as Hobbs His Hole Harbor on Tickners Creek, which was established in the mid 1600's by Englishman Jacob Hobbs. Today June Parker Marina provides a boat ramp, storage and fuel for boaters as well as a store that sells needs for boaters and wine. June Parker Marina is also the home of two charter businesses Rappahannock Roundstern and Tip-Sea Charters both provide fishing trips, scenic/historic trips, and wine tasting cruises.

With a heavy heart I must say that J.P. Marina has recently lost an amazing employee that had been here for a very long time and will be missed by many friends and customers. James Carroll Brown, Jr. passed away peacefully last week. Carroll had worked here for over 30 summers and was always here to help anyone in anyway he could. His smiling face will be missed, but never forgotten. A big thanks to Carroll Brown for being here with us, his work and the positivity he always provided.

Funeral services will be held at Upper Essex Baptist Church at 2:30 PM on Sunday, November 10th.

The time is right now! Things are cooling off, river traffic is slowing down, this is a wonderful time to jump aboard an historic Chesapeake Bay Deadrise and go for a cruise on the Rappahannock River. Cocktail cruises, historic tours, bird watching, or of course catching fish are a few options. You'll be able to leave from June Parker Marina, the original Hobbs Hole port of Tappahannock, or we can pick you up from another location if you desire. Rappahannock Roundstern will put the Rappahannock River at your fingertips!
