🥵 HOT WEATHER HVAC TIP 🥵

We’ve received several calls lately from homeowners saying, “My thermostat is set to 70°, but my house won’t get below 74° or 75°.”

Believe it or not, that doesn’t always mean your system is broken.

When outdoor temperatures climb into the 90s and heat indexes push even higher, your HVAC system is fighting a much bigger battle than it does during milder weather. Even a properly functioning system may struggle to maintain extremely low indoor temperatures during the hottest part of the day.

A few things that can help:

✅ Change or clean your air filter
✅ Keep blinds and curtains closed during peak sunlight hours
✅ Make sure outdoor units are free from grass, debris, and obstructions
✅ Avoid constantly adjusting the thermostat
✅ Keep doors and windows closed as much as possible

If your system is running continuously, blowing warm air, freezing up, or you just aren’t sure if it’s performing the way it should, give us a call. We’re happy to come out and make sure your system is operating as efficiently as possible and doing everything it can to keep your home comfortable.

Another commercial install completed by Taylor’s HVAC Inc. at the IHOP in Rocky Mount.

This project included a crane lift to set the new rooftop unit along with a lot of coordination, hard work, and teamwork from our crew from start to finish.
