Position: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Raleigh or Charlotte, NC

We have an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with experience working on Water/Wastewater projects. This career growth opportunity is with an established, full service civil engineering firm. They are a leader in water/wastewater, water treatment and infrastructure.

Position Overview: The Electrical Project Engineer will play a vital role in the completion of water/wastewater engineering projects throughout North Carolina. You will be working on water/ wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, etc.

Responsibilities:
Work with project managers, clients, conduct evaluations, prepare reports, detailed specifications, drawings, permitting, submittals, etc.
Assist with RFIs, submittals, modifications, changes, etc.
Conduct site visits, participate in client meetings, etc.

Required Experience:
5 – 15 years of electrical engineering, water/wastewater project experience.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain is highly preferred

Experience with:
Managing multiple projects, tasks, assignments, etc.
Medium voltage and low voltage electrical distribution systems (i.e. Motor Control Centers, Generators, Switchgears, etc.)
Diagrams (single line, motor elementary, instrument loop wiring.)
Electrical Area classification and ability to specify electrical equipment.
Emergency backup systems.
SpecSizer (Caterpiller) or Powersuite (Cummins)
Designing full emergency backup systems.
Extensive knowledge of the NEC and NFPA 780.
Technical Skills: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical (or Revit), Arc Flash software (eTap or SKM)

We have an opportunity for a Project Manager with Water Treatment experience. This opportunity is with an established full service civil engineering firm. They are a leader in water, wastewater and infrastructure.
Requirements
Must be North Carolina PE with least 5 to 15+ years of relevant water or wastewater project experience (water treatment plant design and municipal utility infrastructure)
Experience presenting at conferences a plus
Relationships with State and Local municipalities, agencies a plus
Active in professional associations a plus
Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for planning, project management, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment projects.
Lead multiple Water Treatment projects (water treatment, distribution, and storage)
Project Management; planning, design, construction on water treatment projects (project budget, scheduling, production, quality control, proposals, presentations…)
Ensure requirements and deliverables are met on time and within budget
Business development, client interaction
Team management; mentoring and teaching junior staff, QA/QC
Supervise preparation of drawings, specifications and bid packages
Mentor and develop junior-level staff, fostering their professional growth
