Fire Protection Friday - We recently brought our entire Fire Protection team to JCI’s training facility in Cranston, RI, for a day dedicated to hands-on learning and professional development! From apprentices and experienced fitters to project managers, designers, and support staff, the team had the opportunity to explore fully operational fire protection systems, troubleshoot equipment, and gain valuable experience in a controlled training environment. One of the biggest highlights was a live burn demonstration, allowing our team to see sprinkler protection in action under actual fire conditions. The day also included hands-on training with fire pumps, dry and pre-action systems, valves, and other essential equipment. With team members at every experience level, it was a great opportunity for everyone to learn something new, ask questions, and strengthen their knowledge of the systems that help protect people and property every day. At ESI, we believe investing in our employees is an investment in the quality, safety, and service we provide to our customers. We’re proud to dedicate time to training and development and are grateful to JCI for hosting such a valuable experience!

Please join us in congratulating Bob Kelley on 30 years with ESI! Bob joined ESI in 1996 as an entry-level HVAC Design Engineer after graduating from UMass Lowell with a BSME. Starting in a two-person engineering department, Bob had the opportunity to work alongside ESI’s founders, the late Bob Elliott and Dick LaPorte, who became important mentors throughout the beginning of his career. Over the past 30 years, Bob has progressed from Junior Engineer to Engineer and Engineering Department Manager, earning his PE license in 2003 and becoming a LEED Accredited Professional in 2009. Bob has also witnessed tremendous changes in the industry, from paper catalogs and 2D drawings to today’s highly complex, fully coordinated 3D designs. Outside of work, Bob enjoys gardening and landscaping, woodworking, making pens and rings on a lathe, and spending time with family and friends. Bob, thank you for 30 incredible years of service to ESI! We’re grateful for your dedication, expertise, and the impact you’ve made on our team.

Please join us in congratulating Dylan Kicia on his promotion to Senior Account Manager! Dylan joined ESI in the fall of 2019 after graduating college, beginning his career with us as a Marketing & Sales Coordinator. He later transitioned into a full-time sales role as an Account Manager, where he has played an important role in the continued growth of our Service and Small Projects Division. As Senior Account Manager Dylan will continue to focus on building relationships throughout the New England market with a focus on HVAC project sales. Outside of ESI, Dylan enjoys golfing, running, and spending time with family. Congratulations, Dylan, we’re excited to see all that you’ll accomplish in your new role.
