Quick one that saves you money: the vinegar in your kitchen is about 95% water. π§ͺ
"Vinegar" just means acetic acid mixed with water β and the percentage is the only thing that changes.
1οΈβ£ 5% β food + light cleaning
2οΈβ£ 10% β everyday cleaning
3οΈβ£ 30% β heavy grease, hard water + outdoor jobs
4οΈβ£ 50β75% β concentrate you dilute down to whatever a job needs
The money part: one gallon of 50%, diluted, makes about 10 gallons of cleaning-strength vinegar. Buy strong, cut it down, store one jug instead of ten. πͺ£
β οΈ One rule: industrial-strength vinegar (10/30/50/75%) is Technical grade β NOT for food. Cooking or pickling? Grab the Food Grade line instead.
Save this for the next time you reach for a vinegar jug. Full strength + dilution guide here π
