We typically refer to this joint as a mark. The professional term is control joint. Back in the day, some person much smarter than I, decided that any square area greater than 10’x10’ the concrete would naturally crack under stress. The control joint is placed no greater than 10’ away from another in an effort to control where the concrete cracks!

We are proud to announce that we are opening an ACC Design Wing, capable of designing full scale residential projects!

Back Yard Access is a small-scale concrete wall project. The Client reached out asking us to design an entry that is both aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe. 3 options were developed; Option A is a tiered system, constructed of concrete to frame garden boxes, of which, are filled with plants native to Utah and its climate in order to reduce maintenance and water usage.

Just finished this porch cap, stairs, and tie in sidewalk. Started with footings and then built and poured the walls, reinforced the porch and poured the cap and then polished it off with a nice set of stairs and sidewalk with curves for days! Proud of the outcome for this project!
