Last night was a great reminder of why we love being part of this community.

Thank you to The Shawnee News-Star for hosting the Preps Awards at Immanuel Baptist Church and celebrating some truly outstanding student-athletes from across our area. Watching these young men and women be recognized for their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments was inspiring.

It was also a special night for our A/C Doctors family. Contractor Jason Jordan's daughter and nieces were among the honorees in attendance, and we were especially excited to see one of his nieces take home Volleyball Player of the Year honors. 🏐🏆

We were honored to present the Baseball Player of the Year award to AJ Carpenter from Dale Public Schools (Dale Pirate Update).

What stood out most throughout the evening was the commitment these students make every day. Many of them balance practices, games, travel, academics, community involvement, and even after-school jobs—all while striving to be great teammates and leaders. That kind of work ethic deserves to be celebrated.

At A/C Doctors Heating & Air Conditioning, we're proud to support local schools, athletics, and the young people who represent our communities so well. 🔧 Help us welcome Jake to the A/C Doctors team! 🔧

Jake brings a strong work ethic, installation experience, and was ready to jump right in. We figured the best way to welcome him was the same way we welcome everyone around here—hand him some tools and point him toward the job. 😂

His first day included helping with a coil replacement, so we skipped the easy stuff and went straight to the hands-on training. 💪 He's out in the field, working alongside our crew, learning the A/C Doctors way, and finding out that "it's just a quick job" might be one of the biggest lies ever told in HVAC. 🤣

So far, he hasn't handed his tools back, asked where the air conditioning is while working in an attic, or questioned our definition of a "just a Monday." We'd call that a successful start to a first day. 😎

We're excited to have Jake on the team and can't wait to see what he accomplishes.

Friendly reminder to change those HVAC filters 😅

These are REAL filters we’ve pulled out on service calls just this week 👀 Your air conditioner can’t breathe through all that dirt, dust, pet hair and Oklahoma pollen.

A dirty filter can slow airflow down, make your A/C run longer, raise utility bills, affect indoor air quality and eventually lead to frozen coils or bigger repairs. Sometimes the first thing we check when someone says “my house just won’t cool” is the filter… and well… 😬

Most homes need filters checked about once a month during heavy A/C season, especially with pets, kids, allergies or all this wind and dust we’ve had lately.

Your heating and air system works hard enough in the summer heat. Don’t make it fight for air too 😂

Some days at A/C Doctors Heating & Air Conditioning look like answering phones, scheduling service calls, and helping customers stay cool… and some days look like dancing at an 80s prom with conga lines and cheering on an incredible group of people. ❤️✨

This past weekend, Becky Webb with A/C Doctors had the honor of volunteering and performing alongside members of the Business Referral Network of Shawnee at South Central Industries, Inc. “A Night to Dream – 80s Prom Edition.” The night focused on inclusion, fun, and creating memories for individuals with special needs in not only our community, but those from other communities were invited and attended — and it was truly something special to be part of.

Community involvement has always been a big part of who we are at A/C Doctors. From local nonprofits and chambers to youth programs, fundraisers, and events like this, we believe serving our community goes far beyond heating and air conditioning.

We’re proud to not just work here — but to truly be involved here. ❤️

Today has been a heavy day for us as we continue trying to process the events that unfolded.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who checked on our team, reached out, called, messaged, and made sure our staff and our building were okay today while the fire was next door. Your kindness and support truly mean so much to us. ❤️

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to the multiple fire departments, police departments, sheriff’s office, emergency responders, and City crews for everything they did for us today. From the fast response to the long hours on scene, we are incredibly grateful for the care, professionalism, and effort shown throughout the day to help protect our team and building.

Our hearts and prayers are with our neighboring business and all those affected by today’s loss. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. ❤️

His birthday may have been yesterday… but let’s be real—weekend birthdays mean you celebrate when you’re back with your work family 😎

If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Patrick out on a call, you already know… he’s the kind of guy who shows up, figures it out, and gets it DONE (probably while talking about fishing or his next outdoor adventure 🐟🌲).

With 15+ years in the field, he makes the tough jobs look easy—and we’re lucky to have him on the team at A/C Doctors. From service calls to installs, he’s one of the reasons we can deliver that comfort you can count on every single day.

When he’s not keeping homes cool, you’ll find him spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, or making friends with your dog before he leaves the job 🐶

So today, we’re celebrating him the right way—on a Monday, back at it changing out a compressor this morning, doing what he does best 💪

This all started with a dirty filter.

That buildup? It didn’t happen overnight… it’s what happens when filters get skipped and your system just keeps trying to push air through it anyway.

Next thing you know—airflow drops, your house won’t cool right, and your unit’s working way harder than it should.
