It is with excitement, but also sadness, that I am announcing that Richard B. Souder Masonry, Inc. is finishing up the last few projects and will be closing our doors at the end of 2023. I am grateful to the many people in our community who have supported us in so many ways over the years. I am truly blessed. The future is unsure, but I look to God for guidance and trust His plan.

Richard B. Souder Masonry Inc. started 46+ years ago as a one-man show and in our prime we employed as many as 30 masons and laborers. Through the years, we completed the masonry work for many new commercial buildings including warehouses, banks, churches and schools, as well as residential homes, fireplaces, patios, and more. We take great pride in each and every one.

Our business has also been blessed with the opportunity to work for many loyal customers and general contractors, building long time loyal relationships, with whom many I now consider my friends. This community has been a huge blessing, providing opportunities for RBSM to grow. I give my thanks to you, our community, for supporting RBSM all these years. I could not have done this without our skilled masons, laborers, office staff and estimators. As I would make my rounds visiting the job sites and see the finished projects, I would marvel at the amazing craftmanship on display of quality work our men had done. Our staff diligently carried out my Christian values of honesty, integrity and “The Golden Rule.”

This morning, the foundation block at this commercial building is in Schwenksville was filled solid with grout with the help of a pump truck from Forcine Concrete. When ready, 8” split-faced block to also be installed around the perimeter and gray block to be installed to create several interior walls.
