It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that the Gears 2 Robots Tech Academy will be closed immediately and permanently.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses and schools have been mandated to suspend operations. The abrupt closures have disrupted the Tech Academy's revenue, and after exploring many alternatives, we have made the difficult decision to close the Tech Academy.

Gears 2 Robots would like to thank the students, parents, instructors, and partners that have supported the Tech Academy and made it the place where fun and STEM happen together! Over the years we have witnessed many students and instructors grow through the Tech Academy's programs and apply their new skills to the fulfillment of their goals in academics, careers, and daily life. We sincerely hope that you continue pursuing your dreams in STEM wherever you may be!

Gears 2 Robots will be reaching out to the Tech Academy's current members, students, and clients to address refunds, the return of personal items, and any questions on a case-by-case basis. If you need to contact us, we can be reached at [email protected] and (951)230-8333.

I would like to personally thank all the people that have been a part of this journey with our Tech Academy. Your enthusiasm and drive for STEM made the academy the place to be for so many years! I am so lucky to have been able to do what I have for the past few years thanks to each and every one of you!

This weekend our Awesome instructors hosted a day of Pi for our members at the Tech Academy! Students experimented and made their own ice cream to top their favorite pie with, listed off as many digits of Pi as they could, created jokes/puns for raffle tickets, and more!

Here are some of our favorite jokes our students came up with:

"I tried tasting this arcade made from Raspberry Pi, it didn't taste good" -Vano

Hello Everyone,

Gears 2 Robots will be closed for the following three weeks in the midst of the current Coronavirus situation. In order to do our part in the prevention of potentially exposing our staff and students to COVID-19 we are taking these measures immediately.

The closure is effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020 and operations will resume on Monday, April 6, 2020. As difficult as this decision is we believe that this is the most socially responsible choice at the moment. We will send updates should anything change.

For those currently enrolled in Tech Academy classes we will be refunding a prorated amount for the remaining sessions. Those with memberships will receive a credit towards their membership fees for the following month in the prorated amount.

We are so proud of ! Their hardwork and dedication earned them the Design Award at today's Interleague Tournament! This is the team's first year and they are one of the few middle school teams in this competition among high school competitors. They dug deep into their design process to create the robot they have today. Congratulations team Thunder, you deserve it!
