Everybody complains about Dollar General sites but then leaves sites looking like this and does nothing about the problems they see while they’re there.
Truth is, companies build systems around the effort they get from techs in the field. If guys only do the bare minimum, the client stops expecting more than the bare minimum.
I treat every client like I’m helping out my best friend. I take my readings, check airflow, look for future problems, and communicate what’s coming before it becomes a breakdown. There’s a cottonwood tree about 40 yards away from this unit, so it’s always going to pull some cottonwood into the condenser no matter what. The branches I cut back weren’t cottonwood branches, but they were still restricting airflow around the unit. I’m just trying to do what I can to alleviate future problems and help these systems last as long as possible.
Going the extra mile is what gets clients requesting you by name. It’s what keeps your phone ringing year-round. Good techs don’t just fix what’s broken — they prevent the next problem from happening.
Just care about your job sites. It matters.
