Full-Time Position!
Applicants must be able to work 12-hour rotating swing shifts and be able to work overtime periodically. You must also be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
POSITION PURPOSE:
· Process various types of plastic through shredder / grinder for preparation to sell or reprocess.
Hours / Benefits:

QUALIFICATIONS
· Requires knowledge and ability typically associated with a high school degree, GED or proven work experience in an industrial / construction environment.
· Capability to work within a team environment and be individually motivated to accomplish goals and objectives is essential.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to walk, work, and stand for 12 hours at assigned work station in non-climate controlled environment with Two 30 minute breaks.
· Ability to frequently lift, push, pull and carry up to 50lbs properly
· Ability to twist, climb, balance, stoop, and squat
· Use hands to grasp, finger, feel, and handle, including the ability to reach forward, backward, and overhead with hands and arms
· Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
· Frequent repetitive movements of hands, back, and legs
· Ability to kneel
· Requires sense of smell
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Factory environment
· Regular exposure to moving equipment, heat, and fumes
· Noise levels up to and over 85 dBs
· Factory lighting up to 50 foot candles
· Use of safety glasses, hearing protection, and work boots/safety shoes required

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Follow work guidelines and adhere to all company policies
· Adhere to attendance policy without developing patterns for absences
· Work responsibly in a safe manner following all safe operating procedures and posted requirements
· Safe operation of shredder / grinder and guillotine equipment
· Wear required personal protective equipment assigned by supervisor and follow lockout tag out requirements
· Complete assigned tasks as instructed by the supervisor
· Individual performance will be evaluated against department objectives as specified by supervisor (typically pounds per shift, time between clean downs, etc.)
· Sorting of different types of plastic is critical in this position and attention to detail is required to maintain Quality standards and prevent contamination or mixing of plastic types when grinding.
· Sorting plastic scrap materials and preparation through cutting on guillotine are typical responsibilities which require lifting rolls, chunks or cut film that can weigh up to 50 pounds. Individuals are required to get assistance when lifting materials greater than 50 pounds..
· Loading conveyors require employees to repeatedly lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds at chest and/or head level depending on the individual job requirements (i.e. pulling boxes off high stacks, loading chunks, using sorting table, etc.). A fork lift or dump table should be used when materials are greater than 50 pounds.
· Position requires ability to receive fork lift certification and maintain no damage to equipment or property.
· Cleaning equipment between jobs typically requires operators to remove grinder / shredder screens, climb steps or ladder to remove plastic from conveyors and pipes, blow down machinery and clean area thoroughly.
