This is a brand-new home still under construction. We came out to test the well water directly from the pressure tank — before the home's plumbing was even installed — and discovered methane gas along with other water quality concerns.

Don't Wait For A Leak

Most homeowners never think about their water heater until:

• The hot water smells like rotten eggs
• They run out of hot water
• The tank starts leaking

This water heater failed and had to be replaced.

The photo shows what came out when we drained the tank.

Over time, sediment, minerals, and corrosion can build up inside a water heater. That buildup can reduce efficiency, contribute to odor problems, and shorten the life of the tank.

One of the most important parts protecting your water heater is the anode rod. As it wears out, your tank becomes more vulnerable to corrosion and premature failure.

That's why we recommend regular water heater maintenance, including draining and flushing the tank and upgrading to a powered anode rod.
