In June 1969, Domac placed a barge at the Texas City Pump Station on Loop 197 to pump out water so work could be completed on the Archimedean Pumps.

Ben and Janet O’Brien founded Domac in 1966 with a wooden shack, eleven hand tools, and $182. From the start, the company provided tool and equipment rentals, welding supplies, welder certification, temporary buildings, and stress-relieving services.

For 60 years, Domac has helped customers solve construction challenges with specialized services, practical guidance, and the right tools and equipment.

In the coming weeks, we’ll celebrate this milestone by sharing stories and photos from Domac’s history.
