If you haven't defined the strategic goals of your company, department, unit, or team, this is the time!
When your mind is set on clear objectives, you will have a sense of purpose and will be more productive. Objectives should be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bounded (smart). Have your team to put time and effort on these objectives, then they will be on the right track. Keep them updated, provide and request feedback, look for outcomes, and avoid micromanaging.
