We’re building a beautiful garage addition with an upstairs guest apartment, and everything starts right here. A properly planned and poured foundation sets the stage for everything that comes next.

Getting ready to pour some concrete! 🔨

We’re back at the Little John project, and before this new addition starts going vertical, we’re making sure the most important part is done right—the foundation.

A great addition starts with proper planning, site preparation, reinforcement, and a foundation designed for the structure that will sit on top of it. This isn’t the flashy part of the project, but it’s the part everything else depends on.

We’re building this foundation with the future in mind—built to support this addition for years to come.

Sometimes what’s UNDER the tile matters just as much as the tile itself. 🔨

Today we’re installing Schluter-DITRA underneath the tile on this patio. This uncoupling membrane helps manage movement between the substrate and tile assembly, reducing the stresses that can contribute to cracked tile and grout.

Is it a little more expensive upfront? Yes. But when you’re investing in a beautiful tiled patio, we believe it’s worth investing in the right preparation underneath it too.

It’s the details you may never see that can make the difference in a quality remodel.

We’re back in Walden! 🏡🔨

Today we’re at the Wood residence getting ready for another round of renovations.

We’ll be making updates to the exterior garage, removing the bonus room that was previously built inside the garage to reclaim that space, and giving the home another refresh with new countertops.

Today we’re taking a closer look at the Hockley Barndo exterior transformation! 👏

In our last post, we showed you some photos of how we expanded and extended the carport and front porch—now Alex is walking you through the finished space on video.

By adding concrete, extending the covered areas, and making better use of the existing footprint, we were able to create more functional outdoor space and additional covered parking without overcomplicating the project.

Alright guys, we’re moving into the West Wing of the Hockley Barndo! 🏡

Today we’re checking out the finished Jack and Jill bathroom and kids’ bedrooms. This part of the home came together beautifully, giving the kids their own spaces while connecting everything with a functional shared bathroom.

We’ve taken you through this remodel from the early construction stages all the way to the finished product, and it’s exciting to finally show you how these rooms turned out!
